    • Ah yes, the blinking light boxes. I actually discovered this earlier but didn't bother to fix them because I thought that nobody would bother to shoot them in the first place. (which shows you how lazy I am) However the ones near the Forest entrance do not explode because I thought that if any of them were to be shot it would be them, seeing as how they're the only ones between the Forest entrance and the Final Fortress. Later on however I added some more near the Forest Entrance Miniboss. (I'm guessing they're the ones you destroyed) No matter though, I'll fix them all in the updated version.

The save rings is a new one, thanks for informing me.

The doors can't be considered bugs. You'll notice that the only two doors I did that with (the yellow door leading to the centre of the Volcano and the yellow door leading out of the Factory) have flashing power lines emitting from them, unlike any of the normal doors. So while it's note immediately obvious that they're connected to a switch, it is clear that they have an extra ordinary feature.

As for the colours, is that really a bug? Is it? Nobody said anything about the brilliantly coloured scenery in Obstacle Course? Or the altered colour of the bugs and exotic forests in Temple Of Death?. And what about the brown walls in The Abandoned Factory? But yes you're right, the Ice Missiles, the Forest Roots, the shootable blocks that give you health and a great many other things are altered in colour.

Thanks for helping me weed out all the glitches though, I'll try to fix as much as I can in the updated version.

    • Well, contrary to the levels you mentioned (where the strange environment is deliberate), your level is really SF-like, so it's very obvious when the colors are not like in the main SF game (and not like the shot colors, or at least the average shot colors).

Excluding Obstacle Course (which is a category on its own right), your level is the first where I've felt some depth in the map layout and I really had to think about where I was and where I needed to go next, this is the first time I have that feeling since... since playing the main game for the first time, so many months ago (again, excluding Obstacle Course because it's special). There are very good ideas in there, including moving blocks which are not only doors where you have to wait for the block to go away to go through, but are interestingly complex (reminds me a bit of scrap brain zone in Sonic 1...), now it would be even better if the player had to hide in a hole while waiting for the moving block to go in front of him (like safety shelters in train tunnels), or better yet, have a moving block be in fact a lift where the player has to enter, wait for the block to move (while avoiding hitting it), and exit when it has reached its destination.

    • Also, the ice cave looks kinda strange when an ice missile jumps out, because it changes color into the "original" blue. And the Obstacle Course and my Temple of Death have different backgrounds (also the Temple of the Pen which I tested), which asks for different colors. And I use for other things the original colors, like doors and ice missiles. Fun level anyhow.

    • Funny you should mention, that idea about the hole you need to hide in. I actually had it in the early days of the level but took it out. Maybe I should put it back in the update.

It's not really a bug, but, as FireFalcon already mentioned, if you used Ice Missiles you shouldn't alter ice colours, because you'll be able to see the difference pretty fast and that, in my opinion, doesn't look good.

    • Very true. The reason for some of the altered colours is that I began the level before I discovered the Sample Level which gives you the correct ones, and I just forgot to update them when I found this out. I fixed as much as I could in V2 though.

Don't understand me wrong, new, fresh colours can really add to a level, it's just not pretty to combine new ice colours with ice missiles.

    • Once again, let me disagree. 😛 I think the fact that the ice missiles change color when they activate is kind of a nice effect. The missile changes state (passive to active), so it's reasonable to think its color could change too.
