During the first round of the final battle, where you're battling the phantom sketch fighters, the boss will sometimes leave the ring. Sometimes he comes back, but sometimes he just goes away, never to be seen again. Hard to beat a boss that runs away when you can't go after him.
Bugs should be reported in this topic. It's easier for the developer (Lars Gäfvert) to find the reports that way.

This has happened to me too. At first I thought it was just a stroke of genius from the creators of SketchFighter. A realistic combat situation should always contemplate retreat when facing certain defeat
