Karma, lots of it, is a curse. I don't mean to be asking to get it deducted, but I've just realised this: if my posts aren't very good (and they often are pretty poor) then I will look like an idiot. It will appear as though I have been given too much reward (thus inspiring jealousy and dislike.)
Just a question, do you feel the same way, mods?
For david arthur, he must suffer from this or be a real stone wall in regards to personality. Mine, which fluctuates daily, is by no means constant. Imagine having to proof-read, double check, and edit all your posts so they appear perfect. And there's only one standard of perfection, so you're posts will lose character and will blend in other high-karma users.
Just some thoughts.
