    • EV/EVO Chronicles: The Omega Conspiracy: Chapters 10 - 12

      ---------*---

    • Excellent as before, skyblade. Though I've already read this installment, this is as good a place as any to remark that your writing skills get better and better every time you come out with something.

Now then—when do we get to see the next one? 🙂

Also: measured in terms of 'pages,' how long do you think "The Omega Conspiracy" would be?

      Thanks.

The new chapters have been posted on banter & brawl (I received some requests), but no one seems to have taken much interest in them. I've found some mistakes in those chapters which I want to correct before submitting it to the Chronicles. After that, of course, it's anybody's guess because the backlog of the Chronicles seems to still exist.

As for the length question... I'll have to check. I'll edit this post when I have an answer. Thanks for your interest in the story.

I checked by copying and pasting the whole story into an AppleWorks document... The first twelve chapters plus the prologue are 35 pages in Times New Roman size 12 font. I expect to release two more installments of similar length.<<

    • I hadn't thought to look for the new installment on B&B.; I'll say just this until I get a chance to go over it—it's really hard to read there. That's no fault of the writing, of course, but a format problem only. If you're looking for a reason why responses have been few and far between, I'd nominate that for sure. But I'd be pleased to let you know what I think late tonight or tomorrow.

    • This isn't a comment on the story, but I don't know where to ask this. I posted a story about a month ago, and it still isn't up. Its on the Pending Chronicles. Does anyone know why?

There's a backlog of stories on the Chronicles, because each story gets a few days on that front page and the number of stories is pretty large. I think I submitted this in February and it's just being posted now.

    • skyblade: I have copied the text of your newest installment, formatted it, and printed it out so that I can give it the attention that—based on a cursory glance—it seems to deserve.

It's fifteen pages all by its lonesome, by the way. 🙂

    • Thanks everyone. These comments are very encouraging. I'm going to write some more of the story...

PlanetPhil: 15 pages? How much 'formatting' did you do?

Actually, that's really not too far off... After reading that, I looked at the AppleWorks document, and it seems that I only included the first seven chapters (I don't know why I forgot (or whatever) the others), but the actual figure is around forty-eight. If the Omega Conspiracy installments continue at their current length, Part 2 should be about sixty pages long. However, the part in question is only longer because I used bits of the EVO Documentation to introduce the Strands in the prologue.

And Part 2 will be written in the same style as Part 1 (three seemingly unconnected storylines that grow closer together as the story progresses, and then eventually meet for a few chapters at the end).
