Hi y'all,
I used to pop a lot but have been away since about the time 1.0.2 came out. I just got back into playing, so I installed 1.0.2 and I'm having a lot of strange graphic problems that I never saw in 1.0.1

During a game at seemingly random times, the screen just like bugs out. Looks like it's losing horizontal hold and almost shearing. it varies from a little blip to being almost completely scrambled. It definitely gets in the way of game play.

This machine is:
G4 450 sawtooth
Radeon 8500 vid card
512 MB RAM
OS X 10.2.6

Any ideas as to what to do to fix this?

In any case, if it's stopping you from playing you might want to try posting the problem on the (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&number;=2&SUBMIT;=Go")help on the way(/url) board; it gets somewhat more official-ambrosia-folk traffic than does this backwater, it seems.

Could also be your graphics card (or more likely, its drivers) - is that one you've added yourself? I don't remember G4 450's shipping with 8500's, but I could be wrong there. If it is one, then if you can get the old one back in, you could see whether the problems occur there. Pain to test though if the problem is sparodic anyway.

Well I did add the board myself but it was working fine with 1.0.1, and works fine with everything else. (Plus, I'm not sure why the fact that it wasn't original would be an issue here.)
I could be using a newer version of the ATI drivers than I was using before, but again I'm not sure.
anyway thanks for the suggestions, I'll keep poking around for a solution.
