This list is designed to provide members the latest information about Pop-Pop tournament dates and times.

This list is read-only, so you won't have to worry about pointless spam; and it will only be used to inform the members about the latest and greatest information regarding the Pop-Pop Tournaments.

Sorry, it really a bit embarrassing - but I never worked with "mailing lists" or "news groups" yet.

Do I have to check some "lists" or will I be notified by email, as soon as I check my regular email-account?

You need the password to change your preferences or cancel your subscription to the list. It's cause the list admin is web-based, so without the password anyone who knew your email adress could unsubscribe you from the list or whatever.

Of course it's that simple.

As Danny has already said, the password is only there so that you can get off the list when you need to. That way, nobody can remove you from it without your consent.

Otherwise, you will get an e-mail at the same time everyone else on the list does, to tell you about tournament news, results, updates, etc. It's a no lose situation!

Just as an update, the mailing list already has forty members. If we can get half that many people in a tournament I will be thrilled. Also, if more than 15 people start showing up regularly, I'm going to have to revise the rules to make the tournaments feasible on a time table.

I've already got some ideas on how to do this and still have them remain fair and familiar. I'll post more info later...
