    • The "X" Key

      7 8 441

Unlike most of Ambrosia games, hitting the "x" key will bring up a little bubble with a little saying, but hit it again and you'll get another, and ect., ect.

(For those Ares Fans who know who Admiral Grammaticus is, that can only be good news, I hope/think)

    • Even if I didn't like the game, the contents of the x key would force me to.

I mean, who else quotes "The Philadelphia Story"? (Around 4 times?) Who?? Nobody, and that's a d*mn shame.

    • Did I spot Bubble Trouble's x in there? (Roses are red, Violets are blue, I can ride a boat, Canoe? or something close to that)

    • im glad someone noticed the philadelphia story quotes. during the push to get pop out i was staying up quite late and at the end of my work night needed to relax a bit. nothing was on tv at that hour so i ended up watching my small collection of dvds over and over and over again.

with careful examination of the other x-poems you could probably guess all six dvds in my collection.

    • 1: Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon ("Crouching Tiger Hidden Message", "Who am I? I am... I am the Invincible Sword Goddess, "Tomorrow... I'll kick over Wudan Mountain!")

2: The Philadelphia Story ("To hardly know him is to know him well", "The course of true love ...gathers no moss", "Oh, we're going to talk about me again, are we? Goody!", "don't say anything. And especially not "darling."")

3: Key Largo ("You don't like it, do you Rocco, the storm?")

4: Cabin Boy ("These pipes are clean!")

5: The Adventures Of Buckaroo Banzai Across The 8th Dimension ("no matter where you go, there you are." (this quote is actually in a Mad Max movie too))

      6: ???

Argh, I couldn't make out the last one! 🙂

    • oh, i forgot about cabin boy. don't actually have that one.
i don't have buckaroo banzai either. the quote was submitted by one of the testers. i added the x-poem at the very end of development and one of the original poems was, "if you're the first to discover this you get your own bubble." the honor went to Kevin Ballard.
