Just how, how, in the world do you effectively go against him? He's the only pop that can consistently beat the crap out of me on Hard. I loathe playing him.
I know about getting the H-Lock, but what else? That only works when you get lucky (I feel wrong calling a powerdown lucky) enough to actually get it. So how else can you do it?

I hated Mini-T at first, in fact I loathed him. The fact still remained, I was getting my butt whooped by him. The honest truth is you have to just fight his blowing winds. It takes a lot of practice, but it can be done. I have gotten good enough where I can still whoop an opponent (3-0) even when they camp out using Mini-T. And when we are both huggin the line, nothing will save them from my last minute death dance

On my fancy kensington optical mouse, mini-T is no trouble. I guess the mouse driver's fancy accelleration chart thing counteracts the difficulty in controlling the paddle.
Actually, for a while I wondered why people would actually play as mini-T, due to my mouse. That was until I played two players on one computer and had to use a crummy old-fashioned ball-based mouse.

Well, how do you do it then?
The problem for most of us is that he holds your paddle down, which forces you to concentrate on the paddle instead of on popping bricks.

The power doesn't last too long, and you can concentrate on hitting the brick on the outside. It's not too hard to fight. If your bricks are way up, it may be better magnet the ball down instead of trying to fight it. A good Mini-T player is hard to beat, he'll keep the power going all the time.

I use the magnet and concentrate one one row of blocks at a time, keeping my cursor still. This also allows me to charge up my energy so that when he's done blowing I can let loose with whatever I've got (and if I'm Mr. Man, that can end the game really quickly...).

I loath Mr Man. I hate his move so much, I refuse to play against him. The move is too cheap, too hard to deflect, and too much. Tex can also be the same. I like playing vs the base characters, cause it is so much easier to concentrate on actually playing than to worry about attacks. attacks from tex arent too brutal, but too many shooters makes it damn near impossible to have fun. And the blocks falling down is just too much to handle, when you have to clear out the bottom during the rushes. The other elite guy ive not seen yet, so I have no opinion.

My best strategy against Mini-T is the same as against Zap -- I try to keep the middle of my play area clear, so that when they use their special power on me, I can work the edges. Mini-T forces you there anyway, and the wall keeps Zap's sparks from pushing your ball right to the bottom.

Yes, I too have the optical mouse. In fact, i set the secondary buttons to charge special, so now I only have to use my mouse to play. I find gripping the mouse with both hands, and frantically scratching it upward usually works against Mini-T. That, or you get a high speed buffer, place your mouse upon it, and- wait, no, no, that wouldn't be good. That might cause the mouse to be wrenched from your grasp, and fly across the room. That would make you lose. I think...
