I was just wondering how to do two things with Hera:

1. Change the spashscreen. It happened in Black Seas, and I have one I'd like to put in my plug.

2. Change the par for scenarios (time, losses, killls, etc.).

Anybody know how to do those?

The spashscreen ( :)) supposedly can be changed using ResEdit, but I don't know which file contains it.

The par values can be changed in the scenario editor of Hera. They're just right there, in the window.

near the bottom of the list, it has a thing that's indented. One of the two tells you the acceptable resource ID replacements

ODV: Obish Dimplomatic Vessel. Obish corvettes are made on Dysian Beta.

Into Ares? If I paste it into Ares, it won't matter if the plug is in or not. I tried creating a PICT resource in my plug with an ID of 502, but that didn't work...I'll have to have a look at Black Seas' innard with ResEdit. I'll post more if that doesn't work.

That's great, Slug. Do you know how he put your splashscreen in his plug? 'Cause I got one that I want in mine, but I can't figure out how to get Ares to show the one instead of the origional.

Sure.

1. Copy the image to clipboard
2. Open your plugin with ResEdit™
3. Create a PICT resource with the ID of 502 (you can change the ID by selecting the resource and hitting command-I)
4. Paste your clipboard image into the resource

Also, to create that image, I had to re-render some of the Ares ships. If anyone would like to have the Strata 3D files of these Ares ships, I'd be glad to email them to you.
