Round 3 of the Magleague tourny has commenced.
with semi-altered senses, I faced off against Darkk in the first game of round 3. It was a grueling match, and was one of the longest games I have played in ares. Here's how our best out of 5 match took place....
Game 1: With darkk unknowingly taking advantage of my smoking the hashpipe, we matched up in a rock and a rock game with ishiman as our race. I soon realised that today was not the day to play this game.. lol. We both built the same exact thing. 2 carriers and either 1 gunship or 2 cruisers accompanying them. I attacked first. I got to his planet and he was launching fighters, so i retreated back to my base stranding his fighters. I than built an assault transport and slowly moved towards bunker 1. he met me in between the planets. a fight took place and i lost my hvd. following that was the destruction of my fleet. end of game.. --DARKK WINS GAME 1
Game 2: We played space wars. We both tried to montey python each other and use various other tactics we both knew. It was quite interesting as we both kept countering each others moves. Eventually after a long time of dancing around I kill darkk's ship. With a little energy left, I manage to knock his shields on his second ship down a little bit. I than die. I regenerate and kill darkk again with about half shields left. We than counter each others moves for a while more, and than we engage. I lose muchos shields and regenerate to half. I come back and knock him down to half before he kills me. I then regenerate and finish him off. end of game.. --JIMMY WINS GAME 2
Game 3: We went for a different kind of game and played auds vs auds on rock. We both built different types of fleets, but soon realised that that didn't matter once we engaged each other. The whole point was killing the HVD, and darkk won that. end of game.. --DARKK WINS GAME 3
this is the time the weed really started to kick in. ares is quite different when it is blurring back and forth. -- but it only kicked in now and than, so i could still make sense and type, as well as play for most of the time.
Game 4: We played location location location with ishiman as the race. I immediately took over the closest base with 3 carriers and an assault transport while saving up resources. Darkk built an extra carrier and immediately attacked. My fleet was decimated by 4 carriers. My bunker stayed alive though, and i just finished building a Heavy Destroyer. In a stunning recovery, I kill all 4 of his carriers with my HVD and still hold on to my bunker. I than finish him off with cruisers. end of game.. --JIMMY WINS GAME 4
We both had 2 wins, and we had to decide on a tie breaker.
we decided to do a best out of 3 game for the claims to game 5.
With slowing reflexes and sensitivity to light and sound, I went on to be destroyed. Maybe it would have been better to continue another day.. lol but i don't get on GR too much anymore so that was not an option.
Game a: rock vs rock with ishiman, same as before.-- i lost my HVD first and died.
Game b: location location with ishiman, same as before, only darkk unexpectantly rushed me before i could establish a hold on bunker 1. as a result, I had to build a gunship and waste my res saved for a heavy destroyer. My gunship arrives too late to do damage and i lose.. DARKK WINS GAME 5
LESSON OF THE DAY: DON'T SMOKE POT RIGHT BEFORE YOU PLAY AND EXPECT TO PLAY WELL IN ARES, IT DOES NOT WORK.
That is how eminem got into TAG.. lol you think i would have learned by now..

Laguna still hasn't played either one of us in round 3.
Whoever has the most wins will win the tourniment.
--->> I must congratulate darkk on a game well done. He obviously took the game more seriously than I did and he prepared for it. It is said whoever wants something bad enough will win, and I think darkk proved that theory to everyone. I would say that darkk and I are exactly evenly matched, however darkk went the extra mile preparing for the tourny and did not smoke it away either. Darkk truley deserves the extra game over me going into the second stage of round 3. I think his determination by going the extra mile and getting that one extra win will be the final nail in the coffin when deciding who will win. Good game man. <<---
Of course, you know I won't let you get away without a rematch...
