    • Best ship making program for beginner to EVO?

      There just is so many...

I need some graphics to my plugin so I am looking for a program for it. I have been trying out some, but they are little hard for me. I do not want to spend a month to learn how to make the graphics. Note, I mean, for making spin (can't make the i like that) graphics. Do you have suggestions for easy program for making EVO spin () graphics, if there is any?

    • Making a 3D model is the hard part----once you've got that, the Sprites package on the addons page can help you convert to spin.

No 3D program is easy to use, but I've found Cinema 4D to be easier than some.

    • a ď is made by (switching to US keyboard, opening KeyCaps...) hitting alt-u, then the letter (i in this case).

    • If you don't want to spend time making graphics -- which are indeed time consuming to learn and make -- you might try going to EVula's shipyard for freely available sprites.

Granted, you won't have the flexibility to make exactly what you want, but for some plug-in projects it isn't so bad.

Just did a Google search...it appears Cinema 4D is made by Maxon and is a piece of commercial graphics software. It's also around $700.

    • Yeah, but there's a demo available.

    • I have no idea if you're enrolled as a student, but if you are (full-time, high school or college), go to www.academicsuperstore.com and check out either Lightwave 8 or Maya Complete. Ironically, those are the cheapest packages on the site that are general-purpose, at $250 and $280 respectively.
