Hi Everyone,

I'd like to know how I can edit pilot files on windows XP. I was trying a new plugin, that someone else developed, and now I only have three tons of cargo space in my Mod Starbridge Class E. Is there a way to modify my pilot file so that I have all 23 tons of cargo space back?

You cannot directly edit pilot files on either Mac or Windows. The only way to "edit" would be to play the game and buy what you want. If you can't get to where you want to that way, your only other recourse is to make a plug that allows you to buy the ship and outfits you want.

And:

If you didn't want to capture one, there is a plugin called "ShipVariants" (I forget what the latest version is) that lets you buy nearly all ships in the game, including Mod E Starbridges.

Alternatively, you could make your own plugin that makes a Mod E Starbridge available with the exact outfits you want, better handling if you wanted, etc., at whatever cost you feel like. It's not overly difficult to do, and is a good exercise to get started on the plug-in making process, if you should decide to make plug-ins on down the line.
