i've just finished all planning for the first part of a large plug. Anyone who can help and join my team would be greatly welcome. Here is a list of what I need :
- Ship graphics; sprites
- Storylline; plots etc.
- Spob graphics;
- Outf graphics;

Perhaps if you had more to show than (what it looks like) just a vague and totally undefined idea? I mean, you want to find someone to do all of your graphics someone to do your plot? What is this all about?

Perhaps what rmx was trying to say was that we do get a lot of requests of this nature on the board, usually supported by 'trust me - this one won't be vapourware' or some equivalent. Although there are (famously) some team projects which are clocking along nicely, and one very famous one that made it, 99% of these projects do seem to end up as vapourware.
If you want to attract a good team of people who will deliver, then you need to give them something to inspire them.

And you haven't answered Martin's and rmx's (nor for that matter, mine) question. We get "I need a graphics team" threads all the time. By now, those of us who do graphics have realized that nearly all of these projects die within a year (if not sooner). The number of skilled graphics people on the board are far out numbered by skilled (or enthusiastic) plugin developers, so many of us are involved with multiple projects, as well as projects of our own. When you say, "I have a major project planned out that I need people for. I don't actually have any physical work to show you guys, but don't worry, it's going to be great!" we interpret it as, "Hi, I'm a n00b here. I can't be counted on to finish the project, but I want you to devote all of your free time to me anyway." So naturally we say "no." If you can just show us what you're planning, or what you've already done, we might consider helping you, but as long as you have nothing to show us, then we aren't going to give anything back. I'm sorry, but that's the truth.

Here's an idea: make the plug-in without its own graphics. Use placeholders for testing. And when it's completely done , ask for graphics people. You're 99% more likely to get someone to do your graphics if they see a finished product, because that is a straight-out way of saying "this won't become vaporware".

I was just about to quit my plug; but I never thought of that fantastic idea!
I am not a noob; i've been moddin games for years; it was only recently that this board was brought to my attention.
Ok, the teams off; let me finish all the content in my plug. Now; whoever said 'billions & billions' is right; but i'm not gonna do exactly that. It only has to look big on the scale of the original map. Take a look at this rudimentry map i made - it's kinda rushed; but it illustrates my point.
