How hard is it, or is it even possible, to make an entirely new race for EVN? I have EVnew, the program with which you customize EVNova, BTW.

It all depends on how much you want that government to be different. It's simple to actually create the resource, and assign it to a bunch of already created planets and ships, but if you want to make new systems and ships for it, it gets much harder.
So, if all you want to do is change the names and ownership of certain planets, systems and ships, its quite simple.

Dude, if you're using EVNEW, and hate it, then just forget about it. Using EVNEW means you're on Windows, and that is the ONLY editor for making EVN plugins on Windows. Unless you figure out how the .rez format is encoded and manage to manually do it, you'll have to use EVNEW.
As a side note, why do you hate it? This is the first time I've heard negative feedback toward EVNEW.
EDIT: As another side note, it doesn't customize EVN, it allows you to make plug-ins that change and/or add to the universe, or even create an entirely new one.

From watching these and the Nova forums, a lot of people hate all plug-in editors that don't magically read your mind and fill in all the fields accordingly in nice, neat patterns. These same people don't realize that in order to get something out , one must first put something in , and that something usually takes the form of work. Is it really that hard to read the proper documentation, play around, learn from your mistakes? :rolleyes:
