I would like to add someone to my contact list that knows what they are doing with EV NEW.
I'm having trouble making plugs and If I am going to release it I want it to work properly.
Please don't ask me to just post my problems cause i need someone to be here straight away when I need to talk.

Hey MATTYBE. Listen, generally requests for plugins (or help) do not get too many responses. You don't need anyone else anyways, you know. All you need to do is some practicing with EVNEW. Why don't you email me and tell me what your problem is. Maybe I can help.

You must understand:
There are a lot of people who are good with plugins.
But only a fraction use EVNEW.
Not all of them use MSN.
Of the fraction that does, probably very few are willing to help.
Maybe there's some way you can expand the group you're trying to contact...
You need help programming a plug, but does the interface they use matter that much?
Someone with NovaTools might be able to guide you through whatever you need to know even if you're using a different program. (I've never seen EVNEW, so I don't know how different it is)

Well i was working on it all day yesterday and some today and i've figured out most of my problems but the main pain in the ass is hypergates.
When I put a hypergate in,
1: It lets me alnd all the time even without the 'access to gates' thing
2: The animation of it a stuffed. I opens then closes half way then opens again, it does this continually.
3: Hypergates And Wormholes will not let you land if you are evil to the system.

Now, it's been awhile since I opened up EVNEW, but you'll want a your access to the hypergates mission to set a certain bit. You make it so that you can only pass through the hypergate when that bit is set. Otherwise, it sounds like you have a problem with the spin.

1. I think the hypergates use a rank resource to set a contribute bit. That but is used in the hypergate govt to determine whether you can land. Look in the rank called "Has Access to Hypergates" (?) and the govt "Hypergate" to see how this is done for existing hypergates.
2. If this is a new graphic that you created, then yes, it's a spin problem. If it's the default graphic though, you may have found a bug in EVNEW.
3. Set MinStatus to a lower value.

Yep, but the in-game hypergates have such a min coolness that you would normally not be able to land on them. Try doing your hyper gates just like the ones that exist, or better yet start by copy-and-pasting an existing one before renumbering the ID so that it does not replace it.

Another Question: If I want my 2 Govs to be allies do I just put in their ID into the allies section? Cause all the others (feds, rebels etc.) have numbers like 9 and 3.
