OK, an update here. It's aplugin for Nova, btw.
The plugin this week has grown from 3.5 meg (after the first round of ship additions) to a little under 7 (after the second round of ship additions and the first rounds of outfits and weapons). 90% of the galaxy is complete, all of the governments are invoked and most of the mission strings are planned (missing one or two still in planning) and half are partially invoked. About 50 outfits and a little over 20 ships so far. None of the standard galactic outfits are avalible, except in special trading posts on the outskirts. All the native ships use native weapons and outfits, with the exception of the 200 mm railgun, which I could not find it in my heart to replace.
This is not a TC for Nova, though it probably should have been... It has gotten a lot larger than I ever thought that it would. So far it's over 50 systems packing over 30 spobs far off to the 'galactic northeast', past Ran'e'Sheops and directly over Polaris space, with very few entry and egress points to the standard Nova world, which so far does not interact at all with the galaxy generated by the plugins (though perhaps an invasion by the vicious Federation is possible), and I still have at least ten or more spobs to go to finish up some of the minor houses.
It is very Egyptian influenced, though not in a cheesy Stargate-look-at-my-flying-pyramids kind of way. Expect four magor governments with long (one has 45 missions so far) mission strings, with about fifteen (so far) minor plotlines that are having quite frequent interactions with each other.
It's stable in play (I have created a system with as many ships as I could fit in it just to see if any of mine would crash the game) so far, though there are a few tweaks to work out.
I work two jobs, so I could be delayed a bit more in getting this out for an alpha than I initially thought (plus I keep comming up with more stuff to put in!) but someone asked for more information.
