    • char resource not working properly?

      System: PC
      Editor: EVNEW
      Nova Version: 1.0.6

I'm trying to set up a few different starting character resources, such as a Federation headstart (starts you out in Sol with enough cash that you needn't worry about having to do Sol/Kane/Wolf359 runs for 2 hours just to get some decent cash, an Auroran headstart (starts you out with Moash, Heraan, Tekel and Aurorans at +25), a "Yarrr" headstart that starts you with a bonus to Pirate factions, and a Moash Warrior headstart....but when I load Nova and go to make a new pilot, the character dropdown is there, but when I click on it, nothing happens.

      Any ideas?

The WinNova engine is bugged. The char resource isn`t working for Windows until Ambrosia releases the next patch.

BTW: There is already such a plug - in my PlugPack 😉
If youre interested I could send you a special windows package where youre able to use different starting chars depending on the plug you`re using (the package contains 21 character plug-ins).

Hey, check out the new version of my plug-in. It`s called PlugPackV16.
      You can download it (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl/PlugPackV16.sit?path=evn/plugins&file;=PlugPackV16.sit")here(/url)

    • Maybe you need to set str# for it? Just a guess ^^'

    • Terek, that would be great, if you could send it to cotdeath at shakethebaby dot com it'd be greatly appreciated. I don't know if that email address will accept zip files though so the unzipped rez file would work. I'll have a try at converting the plugpackv16.sit I downloaded as someone was kind enough to give me a link to the right version of stuffit. If it doesn't work I'll update this and let you know.

dzeron: How would I go about doing that? What kind of STR# info would I need?

Edit: Nope, the character resources don't work with converted plugins either.
