I'm using EVNEW, if that helps at all.

Okay, so I have decided to try my hand at making a plugin. I'm trying to do something simple, just so I can get the hang of it. I'm trying to just create a system and build from there.The problem is, my new system will appear, but the hyperlinks won't work.

I copied the system resource for Nestin (in the galactic north (that's the system I want to link mine to)) from Nova Data 2 and pasted it into my new plugin. I then created my new system, and gave it the system ID 1128. I filled the first hyperlink field with 459, the system ID for Nestin. I put 1128 into the next unused field for Nestin's hyperlinks. That's all I did.

Does anybody know what's up? Is 1128 not a valid system ID #? Did I forget something? Any help would be appreciated.

Do they work with offsets in EVNEW (sorry, I don't have a pc)? Try subtracting or adding 128 to the RID of your hyperlink.

The Holy Bible sez: max systems: 2048. So 1128 is a valid ID.
The Holy Bible sez: Con1 to Con16 fields use IDs (notice they tell to from 128 to 1127, but that's an outdated info from the time there was 1000 systems max), but EVNEW might be correcting this to use index. Substract 128 if you see Tichel, for instance, that links to Sol (ID 128) has 0 in one of its con fields). Furthermore (though it's unadvised), the engine automatically corrects one-way hyperlinks, so you may want to try without the copy of Nestin, and try only with your new system, with or without the 128 offset.

the visibility field for the nestin in my plug says !b330, and my pilot has b330 set... so that means that it appears when the statement "b330 isn't set" is true? Is it possible that this Nestin in the plug isn't the same one I'm seeing?

I dunno, I'm going to try a different link system.

EDIT: muahahhahaha I linked it to tichel (which has no visibility requirements) and it works.
