I've been reading over an old topic on Negative Inaccuracy, and I gave it a try. It's a really useful effect.

But, When using a gun with an Inaccuracy of -90 it fires from the sides like I want it too, but It also fires from the front aswell. I'd like it to stop firing from the front. Is this possible?

Is there a a way to make a gun fire from just one side? With an Inaccuracy of -90 it fires from both sides. This would be acceptable, but it is preferable if it only fired from one side.

It is a really useful effect.

I have never seen it fire from sides it's not supposed to. You sure you dont have anothe rweapon with the same sprite that fires forward?

Nope, I wish one could too, but you cant make them fire from only one side. Sorry.

You could make the guns into turrets blind to the front and rear. This wouldn't fire necessarily straight to the right and it also wouldn't fire unless there was a ship targeted, but it could still be a useful way to simulate 1-side firing.

I've tried this, but the needing to target is a real pain it slows the action right down. I wanted to be able to make quick, sharp sweeps across the side of a ship and blow 'em to hell, but having to target it takes the fun away. However, I may put the turret idea on the A.I ships, so we don't have to many shots flying everywhere in the wrong directions.

Also, If I keep the weapon range fairly small, I should be able to eliminate some of the dangerous friendly fire.
