Ive been making small plugs for EVN for a while now ( personal use among friends ) and i played around with stuff ( a large portion of it was cheats, and then attempts to balance em ).
For people who want new graphics, one alternative i found to work with interesting results is to mix around with the ship graphics and the ship lights. For example try using a starbridge with a dragon lightning, it looks pretty cool =D. Sure your ship wont be super cool and all new looking, but with a tiny bit of imagination, your ship will in your mind look a whole lot different. If you combine it with different colors ( i havent tried this but im thinking i can with a paint ship plug/outfit ) it should look a lot different, or different enough to hopefully suit your needs ( notice how a lot of the same ships are reused in EVN (rebel/fed/civilian/etc) they look pretty different with just a few color changes, add in the lights and its a bit more major.
Im working on 2 small plugs, one will add in a bunch of bounty huntingish missions ( this one is only hopeful since i havent done serious screwing with missions, just fixing up bugged missions ) and another one is just a cheat plus with attempts at pretty varied weaponry for other people to copy, put in their plug, and hopefully make a more balanced version ( or i might put these in the 1st plug )
