I am sorry about the gravedigging. I ran a search on the boards and the topic popped up and it seemed so appropriate I replied. Won't do again. Thank you for the google search, too bad it didn't pull anything up, I tried that too. Well then, since strata seems to be so irritating, maybe I should switch 3d modelling apps. I have a Windows PC remember, and I need something I don't have to 'pay' for and which works with the whole EVN plug process, preferably smallish. Any recommends? What specifically does a graphic modelling tool need for EVN? What are the requirements?
Also, while I'm on 3d apps, how does the whole ship plug differ in Windows plug creation? As I am using EVNEW (great job by the way on that program), I have a feelnig i will have to do different things to make a ship, put it into a plug, run game, have ship. Making i have figured out - 3d modelling, render as a quicktime file, open in photoshop, touch up, separate ship, glow, and shipmask glowmask then... what? Do i even have this part right? I am making a TC (yes, weird, as i haven't made any small plugs other than some 'unreleasably evil' cheats, but I've got a great idea), and I have the universe plotted out (HUGE!), along with some descriptions and the backstory, but I can't do anything else (missions, finish universe, ships, outfits, planets, even governments) until I see what ships i end up making. I have asked this on other topics but have not gotten a really satisfactory answer. I downloaded the Ships2.0 guide but that's all mac. I'm not sure how, with EVNEW, to go about the whole graphical plugin process. There seems to be a lack of info on how to do this. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to post say a tutorial or some kind of step by step on doing this. Do I need novatools? EnRLE? I'm sorry I'm asking so much of the community but I have a lot to learn (say again: a lot to learn) and this seems the place to get answers. Thank you for all past and future help.
