I was just wondering if there is going to be a plug-in to make Nova a Star Wars based. Back when I had a Mac a long time ago I had EV and remeberd a plug-in for Star Wars on it. Now they made EVN for Windows, which is sweet since I don't have a Mac any more. Anyways, back to topic, is there going to be a Star Wars plug-in. Is there already one?

As far as I know, no star wars plug-ins exist at the moment. Several TCs are in developement, but then again, those are TCs and who knows when they might be released or become vaporware.

You could always make your own, using EVNEW. I believe the link is lurking in several people's sigs...

Yes, I would love to make my own Star Wars plug-in. But one fact stands true, I don't know how, and I am the worse learner in the world. Heh, it took me a few months to get the basic HTML code down for making web-pages. By the way, thanks for that link Emperor Cary!

Just to clarify, there were multiple Star Wars TCs for Nova. Some sucked. Actually, they all probably did. Some didn't even replace everything. I still remember one that had angled sprites mixed with the classic courier. It looked horrible.

About EVNEW: 'Tis lurking in my signature, as well as Aprosenf's (the creator of EVNEW), UE_Research &Development;'s, and Azratax2's. A little practice, and you'll be on your way. Just don't try a full-scale TC without practice. That'll become vaporware faster than EV-Edit corrupted files.

Ah, aight, ill try not to post off topics. Yall the only guys ive talked to on the board so far, so i felt a little more comforatable posting it here. But yah, i go along with you orcaloverbri9. The ONLY reason I got a Windows, is to play games on. Mac outdoes windows in everything else, and now they are even getting better for playing games on than windows too. It is kinda funny, because I remeber hearing this Windows Offical dude saying "All Macs are really good for is playing games on, Windows is the computer of choice for work-forces." Yet unless I am wrong, there are alot of Major componys that won't even accept anything from Windows. And we see what the most advertisments for Windows is-Games. Heh, I just find that a bit ammusing.

Many of the engine limitations that made SW plug-ins on EVC/EVO deficient have been addressed. Unlike in the past, it is possible to make TIE fighters that swarm around targets, X-wing wings that fold and unfold, emulate unreliable ship components, destroy planets and stations (although not with beams), events that take place at random intervals, etc. The new SW plug-ins should be really nice, now that one can do many of these things.

pipeline mentioned calling in an IP ban. If I understand it correctly, they don't need to karma ban the account to do this. It would also prevent him from creating a new acount.

If you look at whitedevil2's info, he was indeed karmabanned (-10). He only shows up as -7 in that topic because the topic was locked (and hence stopped being updated on the server) before he was fully karmabanned.

In any case, this topic seems pretty irretrievably off-topic now, so I'm going to lock it.

ZemenarDR, can you please desist in future from (a) posting irrelevant links in topics and ( talking about off-topic things, especially the extremely tiresome Mac Vs Windows debate. Thanks.
