roid: a resource for asteroids. It allows you to change the appearance, how hard it is to destroy it, what goods (if any) are found in it, and how many miniature asteroids come out of it (if any) when you destroy it.
ship: a resource for ships. This has MANY things to set. You can set (I'm doing this from memory, so i apologize if I miss one): the mass, various flags, the inherent jamming, the inherent fuel scooping, a bunch of x and y crap for weapons, the default weapons, the default outfits, uh...the shield and armor...um...the cargo capacity, the free mass after the weapons/outfits...that's all I can think of.
spob: a resource for planets, moons, stations, hypergates, and wormholes. You can set the system, what it trades (if anything), the technology level, whether it has a bra or not, whether it has a mission bbs or not, whether it has a shipyard or not, whether it has an outfit shop or not, whether it's INHABITED or not, the appearence and sound (custom PICT and snd resources), and...I think that's it.
syst: a resource for systems. They may or may not have any space objects (SPace OBjects = SPOB), which they can have up to 16 of, they may or may not have asteroids, they may or may not have dudes and persons, and they may or may not have fleets. You can also set the spobs in it, their locations, and their navkey thingies (i.e. press f1 to select this spob, f2 to select this spob, etc.). Also, you set the government and locations and connecting systems in here.
misn: a resource for missions. Allows you to set where you get it, where you travel to (which spob, if any), where you return to (which spob, if any), what type of cargo (if any), a bunch of availability settings (ship type, bit set, bit clear, randomness, combat rating, legal status etc), the cargo quantity (if any), the briefing, quick brief, cargo pickup, cargo dropoff, and completion descs (not all of these have to be set; also, the offering is set by itself if in the bar, and it uses the quickbrief in the mission computer), the reward (if any), what you get (outfit, if any), the status upgrade (if any), the special ships (you can give these ships special instructions), the auxilary ships (you cannot give these ships special instructions)...that's all I can come up with right now.

You're right on most points there, though you don't set the weap exit points in the shďp resource.
