I am making a new ship for EV, and whenever I put the new ship and my target screen, things will slow down for a second, then get back to normal, then slow down, then back to normal...
Anyone know whats going on?

I'm not sure I understand the problem. This happens when you open comm channel with the ship, or when you just normally target it?

The only time I had problems with that was when I used OS X and ran EV via Classic. Does that happen to be your scenario?

I had the same problem as I made a new ship... It`s the color depth of the target picture. Little tip: If you have a picture you will use in your plug copy it to AppleWorks, deselect it than select it again and copy it into the resource you want it to be and everything is ok. Should work.

Just targeting it. The ship works beautifully when I don't target it.

Still 7.5.3? Ugh. Why didn't you update to 7.5.5? Used that for a long time on a Performa 6400 with a 603e/200. Boy did I feel smug with that 24MB RAM. Had a lot of fun playing EV on that. The worst computer I ever played it on was an LC III. There wasn't enough room on the hard drive so I ran EV off a Zip disk. Went off for a coffee break while it loaded. Ran fine once it had loaded though, as long as you pumped up the speed to over 200% and kept caps-lock on. Good days.

It is better to feed the goat than it is today.
That's because Appleworks decreases the color depth to 256, which is all EV Classic and Override supports. Nova only supports Thousands, I wish it would support millions, all my pretty photo-real Lightwave renderings still don't look so great.
And by the way, why all this whimsical speak about old computers. I run EV on a G4 and at 200% speed with CAPS LOCK on you can't even see whats happening.
