After reading post on the Nova forum like this one :

I am currently working on a plug-in (and I am already planning a TC, to be started after the completion of said plug-in). I had a lengthy post writen, but alas, It was lost; thus this post will be rather short. I frequent this board, and help when I can. I also think that the sort of folks who can help someone with development questions frequent this board more than they do the Nova board. While there may be more activity on the nova board, it strays tword the 'what is your favorite X' style of questions, and is largely usless when it comes to development.

Entarus, calm down. Anyone who has spent more than a few weeks posting here knows this board is alive. This board gets tons of new posts everyday. In fact, it will probably be more alive than the EV, EVO, and EVN boards combined in a few years.
Lord Tekk, who posted that comment, was being, well, silly. See, let me show you what his post means.
By "no one will help" he means: "no one can figure out what I did wrong yet." By "thats because no one goes there anymore," he means....uh, actually, what was he thinking on that one?
Anyways, someone was helping him. His post is only a day old. It has 4 replies in it.
Just because he was being an idiot for a moment (no offense Tekk, but you were) doesn't mean what he says is true. So don't get worried about it, people still go here, and we know it, so you don't have to prove it to anyone.

I check this forum twice a day at least, and post on it usually at least once or twice a week at the least, depending on the types of questions asked. I check the Nova forum as well, but post less frequently because most of the questions are getting somewhat inane, and repetitive. What's your favorite name? What's your favorite ship? What's your favorite weapon? Why can't I beat X mission? Where can i buy light blasters? Can someone make me a plug that allows me to put all the weapons in Nova onto a shuttlecraft? Ugh. It gets quite tiring. At least this forum only gets the "Can someone put all of the weapons on my ship?" question.

Heh. Not only is this place active, it's gaining new people all the time! Just look at all the people here with low post counts, the ones using windows, or just the ones who are new to EV-related development. I believe this place will be quite active for many years. When you have a game like EVN (or even just EV and EVO), with practically limitless opportunities to edit/improve/replace the game, and new ideas all the time, a creative and productive developer's corner will be hard to kill.

Okay, I was being an idiot then. But i asked for help and 1 person actually replied other than me to try to help (thank you esw-dragoon) Too bad it didnt fix it. And a lot of the time when im on i check the 'whos on' place and only like 1 person is on development board! Then i posted the same topic on EVN:Web Board and i got 18 replies, all very very good ones. And its not very nice to Insult me behind my back. :frown:
EDIT:Right now there are 2 members on Developers Corner
And Entarus is on EV:Nova Web Board
So, why say its bad 'cus of newbies if you go there yourself?

Quite frankly, I think we might have ~the~ best board on ASW. Not only are people here friendly and just plain cool, but we actually get things done. Productivity is good stuff..

Seriously Tekk, this is a fairly mature (in the sense of having been around a long time) board which people only post to when they either have a question or an answer. A lot of the members who check it every day almost never post because

i) the answers are well known and have either been posted or will be posted by someone else

or

ii) they don't know the answer and are waiting for someone who does to post.

We don't get a lot of 'me too' threads, and flame wars tend not to start here.
A lot of the older members tend not to reply to the 'how do I move the lights in Strata 3d' or 'I want to request new features for the game engine' questions anyway.

Perhaps I should clarify what I meant to say.
A lot of the questions that appear on this board have already been answered previously. The answers can be accessed via the search facility.
Others are answered in the Developer FAQs.
Questions which haven't been answered previously tend to be things to which very few people know the answer. This is inherent in the nature of plugin making. There's a general resistance by the older members to posting answers which fail to answer the question - most of us would like to hear from the one guy who does have an answer, so that we can add it to our own store of knowledge.
Also, posting wrong answer to a technical question can cause another developer no end of trouble, so we generally like to check first. This obviously takes time.
You can call yourself anything you like. However, people will generally abbreviate it for convenience.

Hell yeah! Just in the last two weeks, we began to get major overflow of newbies from the nova board. It's split 50/50 between those who post stuff thats "searchable" and those who post good & valid stuff. It's good to see though, despite people having to learn the correct way to do things. I swear if I see another "Is there a nova editar?" topic I'm gonna scream...

Oh well, it'll die down, the unserious ones leaving, and the serious staying. Either way, I like this board, it's a good resource and it's my obligation to help out others here, just because it's so damn easy for me to get help here when I need it. Mind you, I should just email Jules, cause he answers all my strata questions... Thanks Ewan.

The dev. board is the best out of all of them, because this is the place where we forge the future entertainment of the other EV boards... and the atmosphere in here is pretty cool, very different to the rest of the ASW boards. It's just the bomb, and so are the mods, or at least one of them is
