I was messing around the other day making my new plugin just for me, when I was stupidly screwing with the actual nova scenario data files, and I somehow reset all of the wormhole links to -1. The wormhole spöbs are still there, just linkless. Is there anyway I can get an un-blemished copy of nova data 2, or does anyone have a list of which wormholes go where and link to what system? If they do it would be appreciated.

the best way, is to download EVNova again, or, if you keep a compressed version of the download like i do, then just unstuff it.

Now, if you have already made change to other systems and stellars, and you don't want to have to redo them, then just open up the new Nova Data 2 file from the newly unstuff files, copy all the worm holes, and paste them into the old Nova Data 2 file. click yes you want to replace them. or, you you want it faster, just click and drag the new Nova Data 2, and replace the old one with it. your set.

it would take much time to go, and write down all the links and to what worm holes they go to. its possable. i would not mind doing it, but i don't have time, and it would take you more time to type them in, then it would to delete them.

and hey, i mess around with my Data files all the time. its so much faster the creating a resource. i uselly just copy something from the Data files, put it on a blank plug, and change it around, or add something to it (or take something away).

but i also keep back ups.

I don't know what's in the data files (I'm a Windows user), but if that were the case, wouldn't it be possible to go through a wormhole and end up at S7evyn? Or is that wormhole there hard-coded into the game to not let other wormholes connect to it?

like pigdog said, they are supposed to be -1. how ever, there is only one worm hole with a link. and Thats the worm hole "Link" its self. becuase it has a link, it will come out at the same worm hole, every time. however, there is no link back to Link, and seeing how Link has a link, the engine recognizes it, and becuase it has at least one link, it can't be random, and is unincluded.

ok Mazca, I'm very sorry. I've been here long enough I guess I should know better. Ok, now that I know the wormholes are supposed to be -1 i get it. But there are no wormholes in the actual game. None to the far east of earth, none in obatta. None where they are suposed to be. I haven't been to S7evyn to see if there's one there, but i'm scared theres not and i'd be stuck forever and ever and ever and ever... I also stupidly didn't keep a stuffed nova file, stupid since I'm on dial-up and keep a stuffed everything else. But I don't know where my wormholes went, besides not in the right systems. So i guess what I'm asking for is a list of what wormholes go in what s˙st resc.

OHHHHHhhhhhhhh.... i get it now. you'd be better off doing what i suggested. if you had, you'd be down by now and not asking about worm holes still. but, maybe someone will go out and do this for you. i don't know. oh well.

Why doesn't someone give him a ResEdit file with all the wormhole spöbs in it? I'd do it, but this machine doesn't have Nova on it. Not enough HD space, and I can't figure out how to unpartition the X file structure. Grrrr.

Edit: shoot, its would take far to much time to find each system and what worm hole they would go into. sorry, but i can't. i said i had nothing to do, but i don't have forever.
