I'm considering making about 70 megs of all-new 3D rendered graphics from my now-defunct EVN TC available. (For those who remember, it was called shard war, a posted some screenshots a while back.) Would anyone want this?
It's a lot to upload, and I don't want to give it away to everyone at random, so I'd like to know if there is demand.

There are ships from about four graphically distinct 'races', some with features such as animation and shield bubbles. They're rendered in 72 frame rotation so the large ones won't be choppy, unfortunately this makes some of the sprites huge. (One, a large capital ship that has a spinning section, is over 11 megs).

I would appreciate it if you posted your graphics on evula's site or with any of the other kind (or ambitious?) people who do this sort of thing. I don't like to make announcements, but it has been rumored that I've been working on a plug.

free ship graphics eh? so... say i asked for them, would i be obligated to continue work on the plug, or are you just giving them to who wants them, to do what ever they like with, so long as they do not claim credit for the graphics(if they chose to put them in a plug to begin with)?

i'm just wondering becuase i love getting new ships and putting them into Nova. but i'm not one who has the drive to continue with something like that.

also, how would something that big be transfered?

Sounds good. I think if we had a few screenshots people could better figure out what the graphics could be used for in their own projects..

Regardless, though, free graphics are always good.

I would worship you if I could somehow get a few of them to play with and for use in the small plugins I sometimes create (never have released one though, cause it had to be done on mac and basilisk cant run the actual game very well, and macs stop working after a month or so when i am nearby them)
Now I hope to finish a plugin or few, and would really like to throw in a few new ships, but the lack of graphics has always detered me (sometimes i would outright steal graphics from other plugins in earlier versions, but i have outgrown that).
I can provide worship and hosting for the graphics files.

This is the best thing to happen to me since Nova came out. i'm going to have days of fun play with new ships to fly. I'm a ship man. i love flying new ships.

I'm on a modem, and I simply can't upload it all - just impractical.
I'm going to try to work up a little system that will show thumbnail images let people select from them. Then it will send me the request and i'll upload that perticular graphic.
But it will all have to wait until I can get my web hosting to work.

There are no good and free website hosts. I host people's personal sites sites for $2 per month (People with huge stashes of graphics that i want are exempt, like Bryce here :-P), and I havent seen any actual companies offering ad-free space for under $2 per month.

I would also be very a very happy man if you were to make what you've got available. I'm starting to do some of this sort of stuff myself and anything that could speed up the process would be amazing. Don't worry though I do lots stuff myself and wouldn't be just using your stuff, I have about 15 ship designs on paper and I'm working on modeling them all the time(not very quickly though).

Wow. Ship designs are ALWAYS good, especially Nova-formatted. I for one would like to use some of your graphics for my TC-in-progress, Triad.
