Platform?
If Mac then load up Res-Edit (or MC or EVONE) and locate the STRs resource, copy it into a new Res-Edit/other application file(or edit directly from Nova Datat if you don't care about changin it back). One of the STRs is 'Stellar Types' open it and change the words. Hey presto! You have changed the planet type. Do it for whichever you wish.
Alternitavely if you mean change a spob that is already made (ie. In the Nova scenario) then open it that spob files resource and change the graphic (it affects the Planet Type, so line up new graphics correctly with the STRs).
If you use a PC then I'm afraid I don't know anything about programmign for it though I imagine it would be similiar.
Hope that helps a bit.

I want to know how to create a new picture for a planet. This information is signed in the planet recources as planet typ so I sayd "planet typ" and not "picture for an planet"

well, as for your question on if you can make diffrent planet types. yes, sorta. there are Stations, Planets, Worm Holes, and Star Gates. however, you can make up others.
for example. say you want to make a Sun. make a bit of gravity, make it deadly(and maybe an outfits for a little mission that makes you imune to deadly Spobs), get a sun picture on it(which i now your wondering about(and can't help you(sorry))), call it a sun, put it in a empty system near the center of the galaxy and WHALA. you have your self a sun. maybe you can do others, but a sunn is all i can think of. oh, you could do a black hole, just have a difrent picture and a very strong gravity.

if you wan't an better desciption : I want to create a new picture for an planet which you can see while flying in the system and not while being on the planet!

while not being on the planet?
ummmm.... maybe i lost something.
i'm not at my home computer right know, but..... if i recal how to..... i remember i changed the planet Lodestone in my Nova game to the Mining station from Polycon. i though the planet could use a bit of jazzing.
when i get home, if your willing to wait 9 hours, i will definatly help you. but i am hoping someone else will beat me to the bunch seeing how i don't want you to have to wait.

Spöb pics are stored in Nova Graphics 2.
Take a look at what ATMOS did (their graphics were done, I believe, using the LunarCell plugin in Photoshop). You need both the picture of your new spöb and a bitmap mask image, then create a spďn resource for your new image (be sure to use RID numbers for the spöb and mask that have not been used by ATMOS). While it's recommended you use RLED and RLE8 resources, you can also use just straight PICT resources.
You'll also need to create a landing graphic for your new spöb if you intend people to land on it. The landing picture's PICT resource # should be the ID number (not the RID number) of the spďn + 10000 (these are stored in the Nova Titles files).
Then create a spöb, making sure that the graphic type is the same as the ID number of your new planet spďn. Then make sure that spöb is referenced by a s˙st so you can actually see and land on it.
Read the Nova bible, and keep posting questions if you run into trouble or have difficulty understanding anything. We're all happy to help.
