    • Question about fighter bays


      I'm wondering exactly how the fighter bay ammo works. For example, if I buy a Thunderhead bay, which Thunderheads can I use in the bay? Can I capture and use any ship that is called "Thunderhead?" (excluding Pirate Thunderhead, etc)

      From the looks of it, you can only define 1 ammo type per fighter bay, but I wonder how it works with different upgradable versions of the same ship.

      I have an idea for a fighter bay that can hold different versions of a single type of ship. It looks like I may be out of luck though... I suppose I could make multiple bays that only hold 1 or 2 ships each and are much less mass than my original idea.

    • Yep. Only one ammo type. 'Would be nice if it supported any ship of that type.

    • it's the same as a weapon which fires different types of ammo: the way to do it is to have the outfit grant another outfit for a copy of the weapon with a different ammo type, then find some clever way to explain the fact that it lists two outfits instead of just one
