    • Living writer resource: still at large

Hi there, I'm a resource. Don't come to me for planet pictures or ship graphics; where I to do them for you, you would have to settle for two-polygonal tubular UFOs. And don't ask me about music unless you'd like to hear me sing (something that, while it's certainly not worse than listening to Linkin Park, still requires a few years of practice).

However, if you need a writing assistance or a writer for a TC, I could be yer man. I might not be able to separate "who" from "whom" (yeah, yeah, it's the objective case, but who can put even that into context, really? :-D), but I do love to work on personal-level driven projects (the bragging list includes a comic, the screenplay for an anime, a novel that will never see the greying yellow light of small-town publication, and a pratchett imitation sci-fi short-story series (every aspiring author needs a few years of pratchett emulation). And just like any good list of aspirations, none of these will survive the first few months of reality knocking at the door).

In spite of all the attempts I constantly make at writing and journalism, no idea appeals as much to me as working on Nova TCs. I am beginning to see why it is that I never really get anywhere...

    • Mmm, I might be looking for someone. I get so tired of writing mission dialogues but it all depends on if I'm willing to give up my control and let someone else try to interpret my vision. Anyway, what would really help those of us that are interested would be if you could post a small sample of your work. Or better yet, provide a link to several samples of previous projects. That'll give everyone an idea of your style and if your quality of writing meets their expectations.

The only real problem with bringing in outside writers is that the scenario designer tends to be a bit protective of his or her scenario, so when it comes time to actually write, the restrictions are so great that the outside writer is really just filling in the blanks that the original creator could have done.

That said, an outside influence never hurt, in fact, it is probably a good way to go. Look for example at Star Wars episodes IV through VI- with different screenwriters and directors, they came out as masterpieces. But episodes I and II are just George Lucas all the time, and well, the difference is quite visible.

Hmm.. where was I going with that? Not really sure.

I think I can guess: "Never work with unreliable and devisive bastards from Australia."

I'd grin, but it's more accurate than not. :frown:

Oh, that's easy -- if you rewrote the sentence to be in the third person rather than second, who = he and whom = him.
