Load times can actually vary quite a bit. With one image at a reletively small size, yes the difference is very small. But start putting multiple images especially of significant size and it starts to get pretty noticeable. Of course if you're not on dial-up there pretty much is no difference. And using the size attributes is actually XHTML compliant. It makes for clean loading pages, not just quick. Just to verify I checked out the W3C and they use XHTML 1.0 Strict for their pages and use size attributes for each of their images. HTML was meant to be horribly basic. No layout at all. Only through ugly table manipulation can you layout content with HTML. CSS was creative for layout control. Proper CSS uses HTML in it's style sheets.
My apologies for going off on this. I know it's off topic. This is just one of those things for me.
To post something to topic: Just keep it simple. Lose the funky color and 3D font. Incorporate something from the game maybe. Here's a quick example of something I threw together.
