    • Still need help getting Shan

      Well i read the nova bible.Im not a newbie you guys don't have to look down on me as just not reading the material.But this is very complicated obviously.I still cannot locate how to get the Shan from just the Pict file.I get the spin but when i go to create a shan it says there is no rled, rle8 or Pict even when i specify the base image.

      i'm pretty sure shans won't work w/o corresponding rle8/rled resources. the picts have to be turned into rle resources (there's a pair of utilities, enrle and derle, which translate between pict and rle, though i'm not exactly sure where to find them). once you've done that (and added the rle8/rleds to your plug), the shan which (i'm assuming) you've already set up should work fine

      No, that's not true at all. You reference the PICT resource numbers in the shän resource, then drop the file onto EnRLE. It converts the PICTs to rlëd and rlë8 files using the shän information.

      Bonzai3452002, you do have the proper PICT resource numbers in the shän, don't you?

      You can find enrle and drele on the Nova addons page in the utilities section page 2. And you don't need to use rle8 and rled for Shans. You can still use pict files in the shans. I tried it once.
