I HATE CHARTING STAR SYSTEMS. It's boring, it's hard to see if you're making errors and it could have been handled much better graphically (HAIL EVONE!) then with numbers. In that CHEERFUL spirit, I'm beginning to wonder if there are ways around making extra systems.

Specifically, there are two things I'm wondering if I can do without wholesale system replacement: Make certian ships appear and make certian planets appear, using bits instead of system replacement.

(APU) Can such a thing be done? (/APU)

There is no way to use the same system and get different planets at a certain time, but all you have to do is duplicate the system that is going to be changed and use visibility tests and crons.
Look for the (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/cgi-bin/vftp/show.pl?product=evn&category;=guides&display;=date&page;=1")EVN Bits Bible(/url) or some such to see which you can use.
I know that you didn't want to use that but that's the only alternative.
