    • Special ship problem

I'm having a devil of a problem trying to set up a mission where you have to 'rescue' a ship.

Anyone manage to create a mission that does this? I've set a specific spöb for origin and return, set a standard düde, and that's about it.

It will let me board, but then nothing happens. The ship does not come alive, the 'shipdone' does not activate, and so on. Am I missing something??

    • The only way I've been able to get something like this to work is to have something onboard that needs to be retrieved; i.e. passengers. Then for pickup choose "Board Special Ship"

Other than that... no idea. Being able to repair a disabled ship would be very cool though. Is it possible to capture the ship then return it to a spöb?

No. I don't think Nova makes any 'special' rules for capturing mission ships. It is Nova you're talking about?

    • I was struggling with 'boarding special ships' and ended up working it out using a përs resource. It now works really well. I never really got it to work the way that I wanted to with the düde resource. Now when the ship is located and boarded, a dialogue ensues. If this is what you're looking to do, let me know and I'd be happy to tell you what I did. Cool.

    • Heh. That's actually what I had done earlier, and now moved more fully to.

I'm using përs as start points of missions.

I also moved from doing 'transport cargo to X' to 'get an oütf that allows you to see X përs, which then has a mission.'

Have to be creative to work around all the undocumented, ah, features, but hey.

For the curious, I'm working on a plug-in that features asteroid mining. Surveying, working claims, etc. Still in the early stages.
