    • Problems with animated spöb

I have a problem with a plugin I have begun working on. I have a space station that has certain parts that I want to rotate using an animation that I have created.

The animation is in place and works in the game but it is moving to fast for my tast (the people living in there would no be able to survive at that speed ;-). I have changed the Animationdelay in the spöb, but it seams to do nothing to slow down the animation.

Can anyone help me with this?

      Try checking the spďn resource?

The spďn resource only holds information about the number of frames and the size of them. There is an option when you view the spďn resource that allows you to slow it down or spped it up, but it is not saved when you exit the editor, nor is there any space in the spďn resource to save it to.

Does anyone have any idea why the animationdelay in the spöd resource does not work?

I dunno. You could simply add more frames to the animation...

      Matrix

I have tried that too. At 90 frames the game slows down when the station is within sight. At 45 the station still turns way to fast.

      From the Nova Bible:
AnimDelay The time to wait between frames, in 30ths of a second.

Does that help? What were your values? Try setting it to 30, and see what that does. If all else fails, E-mail it to me and I will check it out.

Yes, the problem was related to that setting. I used it but it was overridden by a plugin that contained a spöb with the same resource id (foolish me ;-). Its fixed now so it works great! Hopefully I will get something done for the rest of the community to play with out of the door next year :-).

      Thanks for the help!
