Its been a long time since the last update, and much has changed. The mission editor was to be EVONE's first fully functional editor, until I ran into a catastrophic bug in Apple's Interface Builder. I reported the bug to Apple, and it was fixed in the latest release of the Developer tools, but unfortunately, this means that much of the work I did on the misn editor will have to be redone. Therefore, I decided to skip over to the second most-requested editor, a graphical system/spob editor. Work on this has gone relatively quickly, and the system editor (hencetoforth called the galaxy editor) is nearing completion. Below is short list of features for the galaxy editor:
-
Single editor can edit EV/EVO and EVN systems and nebulas
-
Toggle display of systems, hyperlinks, nebulas and government shading (similar to what Nova does)
-
Scale from 42.1% to 237.0% (in the same intervals Nova's map uses)
-
Can create new systems and edit hyperlinks
-
Drag-repositioning of both systems and nebulas
-
Can edit system/nebula name, resource id, and exact location directly in the galaxy editor
All graphics are done using (url="http://"http://www.spriteworld.org")SpriteWorld(/url), the same 2D graphics engine that Nova's game engine was based on.
I have taken a number of screen shots, which can be found here:

Please take a moment to look through the screen shots and post any comments you may have below.
EVONE is expected to enter beta sometime around the end of September.
