    • Lost Infini-D Serial Number =(

As of an hour ago, I've been enjoying the wonders of OS X and a G4 processor (just upgraded my former G3). All's going well and running smoothly, except for Infini-D. Since I upgraded my operating system, Infini-D is asking me for a serial number I long since forgot. The guy who gave me Infini-D sent me the code over a year ago, but I've long since lost the e-mail. As an owner of Infini-D, I'd appreciate it if one of you who also owns it would mind e-mailing me their own seriel number to (mailto)joseph.payne@tmgmedia.net(/mailto) (my new e-mail address). I promise, this is no pirate request. 😉

Any help would be appreciated. Live long and prosper.

Serials archive? That sounds rather illegal.

That's what I'm trying to be careful of here... but since I actually own Infini-D 4.5, would it matter?

Unless I get a valid number, I can't do any additional 3D modelling.

probably surfer serials : large software Mac Serials/Crack database released on a monthly basis for "educational purpose only" by a quite organized gang of crackers. (http://www.macserialjunkie.com/).

N.B.: I am not encouraging piracy ! Giving a link to a site is perfectly legal. Downloading the database too, as long as you don't use them to unlock software you don't own a license for. So before you mods flame me, think about it twice ; I can't be held responsible for what people do with the information I am able (and have the right) to provide.

    • Hehe, that's actually the same problem I have right now... I found my Infini-D disc, but I don't have a serial. I've got it installed on my iMac, perhaps the SN is displayed in the About window...

    • As far as i know the SN were not pirated. The one with the name I got from my friend. The others I dont know... Sorry but his copy works so I cannot tell you why it wont work for you. Anyways if your in mac os X try switching to 9. It may work. Then if it does locate the prefrences file in your system folder. Then make a copy and put in the X prefrences. At least thats what the Mac Addict sayes that you can do..

Yeah, I'm in OS X, so that may be the problem (even though Infini-D still starts up on Classic). I'll try what you said, thanks.

    • I hope tha works for you... I have to do that for a few of my programs... Dont know why. becides for the fact that X and 9 keep the files in different places and that classic isn't always smart 😉

Didn't work. Instead, OS X starting screwing up because I rebooted in Classic, and I spent a good deal of time re-installing X. According to some content I read at apple.com, you're not ever suppost to reboot in OS X. Just run Classic applications from X.

I'm not sure if I'll be doing any modelling for awhile. Blast.

    • Never happened to me.. I'm switching from X to 9 and back repedly. Some programs arn't suported by Classic. And as far as I know apple never sayed that you couldnt change back to 9. Becuse the mac os 9.2 disk comes with X.1. Hrmm. I dont know why it would of scrued up... Oh well. Ok here is another idea, Look in you mac os 9 prefrences file. look for the Infini-D Prefs. Now copy them to the desktop Now put it in the harddrive/users/username/libary/preferences/
Now That should work. Because it come out of Mac Addict in one of there reviews. it tells you how to keep the same prefrences files..

If you switch between Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X frequently, you'll want to trick Black and White into using the same game data under either OS. All you need to do is make an alias of the harddrive/systemfolder/prefrences/lionhead/Black and White folder and put it in the harddrive/users/username/Libary/prefrences/*Drage here-- Or vica-versa if you first started the game in OS X

So basicly you want classic to use the dam prefrences file. Well i know this works with EV. I entered my code on 9. classic didn't have the code so I tryed this. and it worked. So good luck. And please please let this work 😉

    • Serial is sent. Check your e-mail

    • Here is an idea. When I lost the serial for flash 5, I just copied the pref. file from my old computer to the new one (I was upgrading as well). You could try this if you still have Infini-D installed. Hope this helps. It should at least work if you boot into os 9. Also, Infini-D would be slower running through classic than running in os 9 only.

There is nothing whatsoever wrong with booting back and forth between Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. Booting into Mac OS 9 is an essential way of dealing with programs that run intermittently (like Photoshop versions prior to 7) or not at all (like Fontographer and my scanner) in Classic.

Incidentally, when you're running applications in Classic mode, they still use your Mac OS 9 'System Folder' for everything. They don't use your home folder or the new 'System' folder for storing preferences.

I lost close to one-hundred files last time I re-booted in OS 9.2 (a literal crash). I'm not going to try that again. I ended having to install OS X all over again...

Case closed everyone. Nemesis's e-mail did the job, and Infini-D's working great ((url="http://"http://saberstudios.evula.net/3dimages/G4DesktopLarge.jpg")Here's(/url) a screenshot of my desktop, by the way... it has a picture of a new Infini-D icon I designed for OS X). Thanks to everyone who responded.

If that's the case, then there is something more going on with your computer. I and many other people boot back and forth between the two systems on a regular basis.

    • I suggest you bring it to a mac repair shop. Because there is something wrong with it. Its not the systems fault. There is something pb(REALY(/b) wrong....

I'm guessing it's because my model is an older "blue and white" G3, and all we did was replace the processor with a G4. We had problems getting it to work at first, but it's smooth now. I don't know if it'd be any cause of problem for not being able to boot back into OS X. If I start up in classic (9.2) and then reboot in OS X, I get the picture of the ugly file with a rip right down the center. Don't know if my dad's having the same problem with his machine yet...
