The Aurorans live in Huge Arcologies. Allowing them to have billions live simi-comfortably.

There is nothing on the Vellos; for obvious reasons.

Since I am trying to make a plug-in for after the Vellos storyline, I need to know how the Vellos would live on a planet. Are they tree huggers? Or are they like every other civilization in that they have destroyed their world's environment. (The Aurorans and Polaris both being guilty of this)

If the game creators can give me an idea or anyone else, that would be great.
(the idea is that a group of Vellos did not get enslaved and lived +/- 700 years outside of Council/Federation influence on one planet. What would life be like there?)

Well, as the plugin author, it's kinda up to you... I'd imagine that they'd be in little hippie communes; they'd probably be a superb example of a positive communist "government", with all goods given to those who need them the most.

All of their buildings would probably be very planet-friendly, made out of compounds that don't pollute the planet (ie: mud huts and such).

The only polluted Polaris planet is Pa'ered which the P'aedt screwed up on. Otherwise, the polaris are fine.

Is there not some description on Vellos of their original lifestyle? It may only show after you complete the Vell-os storyline, but I seem to recall it being there. At any rate, I remember descriptions of an ideal society with everyone equal (since everyone is mentally linked to everyone else) and everyone living well.

Hmmm, well then might as well make them live like they would of in ancient Greece but in their own style of course. Maybe even see them as living like how the Atlantians would of. If you take a look at the ancient Mayans or the Incas, they had a paradise.

That's the keyword, paradise. A place of wonders, a place filled with arts. However, since I read in the post as how the Vell-Os string ends, they would most likely have evolved and become omnicient and stuff, so therefore you wouldn't see them anyways.

My thought on the idea was that they had a sort of "forced evolution" brought on by their being enslaved. Let me put it this way. Imagine you have 2 bottles of Faygo. The first one you put in the fridge for tomorrow. The second one you shake up as much as you can and open the bottle. It proceeds to spray all over the place including all over you (and you are wearing your favorite white suit. :eek:

OH NO! You have forgotten about that first bottle because you just HAD to get that suit cleaned. You go to the fridge and open that bottle you bought before (over the sink this time! It fizzes a little, and nothing more and it tastes great!!

Ok, the whole point is that The Vell-Os were under pressure to change. Had they been left alone, they would have developed at a normal pace and perhaps, after a longer time, they would have fizzed over.....I mean they would have evolved!

I always imagined Vellos society like that of the achient greeks, a race of philosophers, athletes and artisans.
maybe you could use achient greece as a starting point for your background.

I know it is my choice on what the society is like, but this is not a TC, so I did not want to "step on anyones feet". I'll read the game's text, and see if I can parallel it. Perhaps , like everyone has suggested.
