    • NovaMap?

I am trying to make a plug-in for EV: NOVA but I am having problems with the system editor. I REALLY don't like working with the x and y values. Somebody on the NOVA webboard mentioned something called "NovaMap" as an alternative editor and said that I should search for it on Ambrosia's servers. Unfortunately, hours of searching turned up nothing except a long dead link to a beta of NovaMap. Does anyone know where I could find it? If not, does anyone know of an "EV-Edit" type system editor?
Also, does anyone know who it was that made the plug-in "F-25" for EV:O? I am wanting to use the Xarnes Carrier graphic but I thought I had better ask for permission first.

      Any tips/info would be useful!

NovaMap can be found in (url="http://"http://homepage.mac.com/thorprime/novamap(classic).sit")Classic(/url) and (url="http://"http://http://homepage.mac.com/thorprime/novamap(carbon).sit")Carbon(/url) flavors. Once you have the application, make a new folder. Stick NovaMap inside the folder. Then, make aliases of Nova Data 1, 2, 4, and 6, and put them in the same folder as NovaMap.
Once you have followed the above instructions, you're ready to use NovaMap.

    • I downloaded NovaMap and got it to open but nothing happens when I go to edit the planets! Whats up with that? This is supposed to be fully functional, right? Any clues?

    • I think Nova Map is still an alpha version, so not everything works yet. You can't really do much more than editing links of planets I think. Hope this helps.

    • You can place and edit systems, but not planets.

    • I have my own program, called (url="http://"http://kevin.sb.org/evnova/")Nova MapViewer(/url) which is basically in pre-alpha stages, but it's still useful. It can't edit systems, but it can display the universe pretty well, zooms, and will show the current map coordinates of the cursor. Basically, it can be used for positioning systems, which you actually edit with ResEdit or Resorcerer.
