Do Nova's contribute and require fields allow any operations other than a landing permit (as the gov't resource has contribute and require fields) that NCBs do not?
------------------
CRFs (contribute/require flags) also allow for really creative stuff with cröns and oufits as well. Besides, they're checked in a completely different manner.

CRFs only allow something to happen only if you have all of the requirements met with the contributes. NCBs are much more useful, as you can make "interesting" things happen using the set & test fields. But to answer you're question, yes, you can use them to only have a system appear if you have a certain ship or something.

I experimented to find some interesting things to do with NCB's and i had a lot of fun. I made it so when you buy the kestrel, there is a new system next to S7veyn. It has a very difficult to dominate planet, and when you dominate it, it sets it to place a bomb on your ship. Another useful thing is the setting to make it so when you buy any cheat items, it sells them and buys non-cheat ones. This was to stop people cheating on my copy of the game. e.g. if someone uses mega credits with this plugin, it will instead sell the item as soon as you have bought it, and buy maybe 1000 credits; if you buy reveal map, it sells it and buys an ordinary one. There are much cooler things you can do too. I love also making cheat ships teleport you to a blank system with no hyperlinks at all, just a planet with nothing on except commodity exchange. Then when they land on it, they cant reload their pilot and get back. I do anything to stop people cheating.
