      According to the "bible" (I'm a heathen) addionational main spin graphics
      can be interpreted as "banking pictures".
      Banking == turning ?
      And which grfx corresponds to which direction ?

    • Welcome to the boards! Banking is indeed the way the ships lean on their side as they turn. If you want to use banking, the sprite should contain, in the following order:

      1. a full rotation of the ship, flat,
      2. a full rotation of the ship, banked left, and
      3. a full rotation of the ship, banked right.

      Also, the ship should be spinning in the same direction for each 360ş turn (to the right), otherwise bad things will happen. Open a Nova Ships file and double click on one of the shans to see what I mean.

    • One small note. You said spins. You need to use shans for Nova ships. Also, the banking sprites are appended to the end of the non-banking sprites, making one large sprite. Oh, and you should convert your sprites to rle8 and rleD to save on Nova's memory.

      The easiest way to get rlë8s and rlëDs is to make a spďn and use it in EnRLE. You then make the shän.

    • you should just make the shan using the sprites, and then enrle it. it's much easier that way.
