    • Ok, REALLY stupid question here:

What are the sizes of shipyard pics, comm icons, target pics, and shipyard icons supposed to be in original EV?

I know this is a really dumb question, but please be patient, I'm going to try to implement my first ship set in a plugin 🙂

    • Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but here goes:

      Shipyard pics: 100x100 pixels
      Comm icons: 100x100 pixels
      Target pics: 128x64 pixels
      Shipyard icons: 32x32 pixels

I could easily be wrong, but I've been working with these recently so I'd better be right. Otherwise, I deserve a knock on the head.

If you use GraphicConverter, you can just paste the pics into a blank document and trim it. The file information window will display the size of the graphic.

    • Firebird's right. Also, your single cell size for the sprites has to be an even mulitple of 8.

    • Hey BariSaxGuy5, no question is stupid if you don't know the answer. True, the answer might be simple, but don't ever think that your questions are stupid.

That's true, the only stupid questions are one that aren't asked at all.

    • Doesn't matter. Just copy a target pic from the resource, and use the "Eyedropper" tool that is standard in most paint programs to get the exact color.

    • Or, you could download the (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl/Shipbuilders_Guide.sit.hqx?path=ev/guides&file;=Shipbuilders_Guide.sit.hqx")EV Shipbuilder's Guide for Infini-D(/url). (edit)I was trying to have the I's and the Divals be mailto links. It didn't work.

    • Just the heck of it, can someone put one of those target pics up? I'm running a (gasp) PC with B2 emulator

    • Whoops sorry. Was going to post some of those target pics, but forgot that I don't have EV(O) on this computer. Just resedit into the graphics file of EV. You'll find them there.

Posting hyperlinks is not emulating EVula.

    • The entire idea of attempting to emulate him raises the question of what processor he runs on natively.

    • no, but he fills his posts with lots and lots of hyperlinks, usually mentioning his personal accomplishments and web sites. that's what i meant.

note - i was in no way attempting to bash the 'all powerful' EVula, just being a little evil 🙂
