    • Help with a Nova plug...

For background, I have no plug making experience and just d/led nova tools and the plug developers guide. I've made some outfits for Vell-os specifically, and was had two questions:
      1. How do you set an oütf so it's only available if you have a specific T-level or higher, and
      2. How do you make it so that you can buy these outfits while in the Vell-os thread?

any and all help would be appreciated

    • Okay, the first thing you'll need to do is open up the data files specifically relating to oütfs, and possibly mďsns. See what are the requirements for other vell-os enabled oütfs (i.e. nova control bits, require/contribute fields, etc.). Missions in nova will set bits along the way. You must determine which missions set T-levels, and use the other ncbs set as requirements for your outfits.

Remember the Nova Bible is your friend, so download it if you don't have it already. If what I said is beyond your comprehension, post again and I'll try to make it simpler.

Oh shoot. I thought the perfect way would be to check the presence of the T-levels ranks (they're ränk resources), but after looking at the bible, there's no way to check if the user has a certain rank. Why not? It seems like such a useful check, why can't we check if the player has, say, rank 131?

    • Wouldn't it be possible to replace the ränk resources with a copy that adds a flag to the contribute field and then have the new outfits use the same flag in their require fields? You shouldn't need to worry about the availability of the items as long as you don't have the availability field test for b424 as all the other items do.

Actually not a bad idea. Probably the easiest way, although it alters current resources, which may or may not be what Pentax Vanguard wants.

That would indeed be very useful.. in this case, though, the T-levels are also outfits, so you can use the Oxxx check.
