    • New EVO Plugs

After perusing the EV Developer's board, I've noticed a lot of threads about Nova plugs. Since my Mac cannot handle Nova :frown: , I wondered, Is anyone currently building or planning a cool new TC plug for EVO? Or is everyone porting to Nova now?

    • There are still plugs being produced for EV and EVO. I do not know exactly if any of them are TCs (I assume yes), or what they are/who is making them.

    • Ummm what's TC stand for? I see it everywhere in the board but never seem to find out what it means.

Total Conversion. It is a type of plug that replaces everything from the original game with a new scenario, graphics, everything.

    • Not every plug being worked on is up on the Upcoming Plugs directory. I have a TC plug currently under development of EVO, currently known as "EVOTC", because I haven't though of a name. Below are a few screenshots I recently took.

      (url="http://"http://homepage.mac.com/captainz/explored.jpg")What's done so far...(/url)

Currently, my plug is in version 0.0.1d8, with an expected release date of January 1, 2003.

    • The problem with EVO was that it wasn't a TERRIFFIC improvement over EV. Generally speaking, I preferred to deal with EV because it was easier. EVN has so many improvements, that scenarios that I could only dream about in EV and EVO was now possible with EVN. Sorry. Despite that, there are LOTS of good plugs for EVO. Have you really played them all?

Dude, what gives!? I was gonna do that too only for the transition. MIERDA! Now I don't know if I should use it or not, so I guess I'm fu*&ed.; If you want to see an idea on what I had, here's the link

    • Hey, some of you may remember me, I haven't been on the board in a REALLY long time.

I've got an EVO plug that's practically done, with just a few bugs here and there. It's a half TC (hard to explain). About 100 missions. Is there any interest in it, or is everyone too interested in Nova to care?

I don't recall having said I've played them all. I simply wanted to know what was still up-and-coming for EVO.

    • I am working on a plug that puts all the ships and weapons from the origional EV into EVO. I got about 1/3 of it done with about half the weapons and 5 ships. Don't expect it anytime soon. If anyone knows how to transfer ships any better way then copying to ResEdit adn changing the ID's of everything please let me know. I have tried Stuff like The Docks and it dosen't work very well for what I am trying to do.

    • (url="http://"http://www.people.cornell.edu/pages/msw4/evoa/")Apocalypse(/url) should be done very soon. I've got a few friends Alpha-testing now. Mostly just hoping to scrounge up a few more graphics (mostly outfits). Kind of holding out for Saber Studios and Captain Skyblade to come back for those, but once everything else is polished I'll release it with or without them.

I've not really advertised it anywhere because I didn't want it to end up just another vaporware TC, but it's down to the wire now.

It's a very story-driven TC (the main storyline runs over 300 missions) set in a fairly small (but dynamic) universe.

I do have the a web site up for it you can visit if you're interested in more info: (url="http://"http://www.people.cornell.edu/pages/msw4/evoa/")http://www.people.co...ages/msw4/evoa/(/url)

A part of me would like to convert over to NOVA, but I doubt it would ever get done if I did. Not going to think about that until it's done and done for Override.

I'm sorry. I didn't realize anyone else here was even using that picture yet. Being that I am still in the earliest development stages, I would bet that I will end up changing it before release next yeat.

Yes it is, I forgot to mention it when I was trying to show what I had for the transition

You don't know very far, Kwanza 🙂
Mille Terrae has been drastically delayed by most of the development team bugging out without finishing jobs they promised to do, but the project is not dead - comatose, but not dead.
