    • I need someone to make a nebula.

The largest image must be 200x200.
It should be blueish, like the Proxima Nebula, but with red streaks in it.
      Sorta blobby in shape.
It will go in my upcoming plug "Renegade Wars" for EVO as the big dark scary place where hardended raiders fear to tread
The creator will get their name,e-mail adress, and whatever else they want listed in the credits.
      And a pers,of course.

So anyone capable of making a decent nebula, please drop me a mail?

While you are waiting for an artist, might suggest you go trawling the NASA archives. There are a number of public galleries, library archives, Hubble photographs and the like. Try (url="http://"http://heritage.stsci.edu/public/gallery/galindex.html")http://heritage.stsc...y/galindex.html(/url) for starters.

    • While I doubt these pictures are very close to what you are looking for they are the best I could do with the extremely limited amount of experience I have with the photoshop filter I used to make them. I made them all in about 5 minutes (after trying for 20 minutes to get the perfect nebula 🙂 ) using Glitterato by Flaming Pear.

Hope these are of some help to you.

    • If you're really desperate, you could always make one in AppleWorks, while it may not be Photoshop qaulity, it will still be indentifiable as a nebula.

    • Regulus: I can't see the image. Keeps coming up as "Image hosted by Tripod"

Anyways, I have one if you want.

Hm. I've moved it to GeoCities, but it hardly matters. Yours is much better, and more in keeping with the EVO style.

    • Thanks for the complement, Regulus. Glitterato is a very useful tool. I had that nebula made in 10 minutes.

BTW, those white dots inside the nebula can be either stars or asteroids, it's up to you. This is a demo of what I can do for Nebulas. I have posted only the large one (200x200) used in the making of a nebula for EV. I am available for some graphic development, and will be opening a free shipyard and graphics place in a few months. The Nebula shown above is freely, upon request, until I have my free graphics download ready.

Shade, contact me if you would like to use mine and want me to make new ones instead of these. (Similar in type, but different) My e-mail is (url="http://"mailto:captainz@mac.com")mailto:captainz@mac.com(/url)captainz@mac.com

    • Regulus, would you be so kind as to mail me your nebula?I can't look at it with geocities.

    • Just add a question mark (?) after the link to Geocities and it loads the image - it's the best way i've found to circumvent their remote-linking system.

Actually, just selecting the path and hitting enter again works just fine (at least in Netscape) too.

In their defense, I can understand completely why the wouldn't want to host images on other servers, although I do wish that it were possible for you to select three to four webpages that you COULD have them linked to on (I may implement that for (url="http://"http://www.evula.net/")evula.net(/url) if traffic gets too much to handle; don't worry, AmbrosiaSW.com wouldn't be blacklisted).

The best way is to use iCab and set 'use Referer' to 'Only within domain'. the Referer http header contains the page you visited last, and that's what those sites normally use to check whether you looked at one of their pages last.

    • This really isn't worth effort. I'd have just stuck it on my iDisk, but it crashes the finder under OS X and I havn't been able to fix it yet.

Anyway, Captain Z's is better, as I said.
