    • Fighter Bays


      Me and some friends are working on a plug-in fo EV. Lately I have been trying to fix a problem Ihave been having with making a fighter bay function. I have got it so you can buy the fighter and the bay, but when I use the bay it lauched invisible vessels that don't do a thing. Please assist in any way possible. Thanks.

    • It sounds like you don't have the fighters set as the ammo for the bay or they don't have functional sprites. My experience is only with Ev-Edit, so I can't help you to much. Look into both of those and see what you come up with.

      i had this problem with my plug. check and see if you have dudes in your systems (open the system resource, then the system your in) if you don't have dudes listed in the dude fields, the bays don't work. if you have to, put 128 into the top four fields and 25 in the bottom four fields. load the game and check if it worked.

    • This problem could be due to the fact that you didn't set the AmmoType field (in the 'w‘ap' resource) correctly. Just enter the ID number of the ship you want the fighters to be.

    • Go over your resource ID's and ammo settings as has been said. But i had this problem a few times when i was using EV-Edit, when i switched to ResEdit it fixed itself. EV-Edit has a tendency to botch resources IDs, and lose ships, as well as ID resources.
