Waht makes a plugin fun? be very specific

"The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four Americans are suffering from some form of mental illness. Think of your three best friends. If they're okay, then it's you." Nike!

    • Good graphics, interesting ships, and a deep, involving plotline. Probably graphics and plotline are the most important. Writing, I find, can make or break a plug. I have played several well and cleverly written plugins that lacked in other areas like graphics and content of other kinds, and plugins filled with great graphics, outfits, and ships but lacked in the writing. Needless to say, the former was much more fun to play than the latter.

    • A pole on the Dev board, eh? How strange. 🙂

I would say a plot with good writing (they go hand in hand) is the most important. By that I also mean the missions.

Second most important is probably crisp, clean and eye-pleasing graphics. This is hard to attain in EV's inability to handle anything over 8 bit color. I wish they would update EV just one last time and make it able to handle graphics like Nova. Would that take much more than a copy-->paste?

    • The things that make a plug in great? Well, a lot of things contribute to the greatness of a plug. I think it needs to have a well thought out, clear, interesting, and fun plot, that also has sub-plots built in. It also needs to have plenty of missions, a large variety of missions (just to add flavor), plenty of factions and governments to play around with, and added small little tidbits that make you want to play it over and over again. The graphics must be great, and the addiction level at maximum. If you have all of things, or most of them, you have got a good plug in on your hands.
