Ok now i got a new problem EVO wont read my plug and its just a first step plug all its got is the ships I did it with Ship write culd i plz get a list of things that culd be going wrong.
(Iv already checked EVO without plug its not the game)

Hmmmm... That is a very typical ShipWrite problem. I've never been able to create more than three ships using the application before Override has errors when starting up. How to fix it? That's one thing I myself ever found out... ResEdit was the asnwer, though. 
Hope you get your plugin working soon.

EVO man, I don't know if your poor spelling and grammer are due to little knowledge of the English language, in which case it's not really your fault, or because you are staring at the keyboard and hitting "post" before you proofread anything. You should probably try to proofread what you write before you are posting it on the web for the whole world to see.
As for you problems: Get rid of shipwrite. Get resedit and resedit beginners guide. 'Nuf said.

I haven't used Shipwrite, but I understand it has some bugs. You will probably need to make some corrections in your plug using ResEdit. Another essential tool for all plug-in developers is EV Plug Checker available here:

Plug Checker can identify many errors in plugs and save hours of bug hunting. The suggestion to get the 'ResEdit Beginners Guide' is a good one, another useful tool is 'EVO Formula Calc' from the Add-Ons page or here:

Also, before you release a plug, get someone who understands standard English spelling and grammar to edit any text in the plug.

No offense, but that's no excuse. Good spelling and grammar isn't dependent on age -- it's dependent on giving a damn how others perceive you. If you want to appear intelligent and educated, you need to make the effort to spell correctly and and check your grammar. If you disdain correct spelling and grammar, your writing won't be respected by others in pretty much any context.
If you honestly don't know how to spell a word, you can put (sp?) after it. But don't just let bad spelling go because you don't want to bother correcting it. As for grammar, try this: Before you hit "submit", read your post out loud (or in your head) and ask yourself whether each sentence makes sense. If you realize that a sentence doesn't make sense, rewrite it.

Indeed. When I was thirteen I could spell better than most adults I knew. Unless you really don't care, you should make an effort to check your grammar if you ever want to truly become a member of this community.

The way I see it, this spelling/grammar topic is getting way out of proportion. Yes, spelling right does help others read it better, but I don't think it is all that important on a message board (messgeboards and IMs have sorta adopted their own "language" like "ur" and "lol")...
...is it just me or has this string's subject take an odd turn somewhere :rolleyes:?

In IMs and realtime chat, bad grammar and spelling are somewhat acceptable because you're trying to get your idea out quickly so the others can carry on a conversation with you. There's no realtime aspect in these boards, so there's no reason not to take the extra bit of time to get things right.
The above goes 10x for writing in plugs. Nothing spoils a plug-in faster than poorly written descs.

Hey, stop harrassing the poor lad. It's not a crime to spell incorrectly unless you say things like "HEY MNA WUTS UP" or something. Plus, he's an EV gamer and all EV gamers are cool
But for plugin checking, I suggest DYNA Systems' freeware Plug Checker. It's great. But you must think about simple things that can make a plugin not work. My TC plug had thousands of bugs at first... And it would crash EV whenever I'd put it in. This was because of the spΔn/spΔt resources... everything must be finely tuned, so to speak. Plus, stuff like that a Res Edit file or an EVC plug will not work, of course, in Override. Usually it's nothing too complicated.

What's your point? I, too, am 13, and several other people on this board are within 13 by only a few years. Like someone said, it is hard to get people to take you seriously and respect you if you don't care about your spelling and grammer. The spelling and grammer of the internet are like the appearance of a person in real life. You won't think the same of a person who doesn't get their hair cut or wear deoderant as much as you will think of a person who does those things.
You should know how to spell words like "sorry" and "something" if you are 13.
I feel real anal making this post, but it had to be said...

I was just wondering. I found out why today. Saber Studios is the coolest site (EVula's Lair is a bit better). I'm thinking about replacing the graphics I already have for the Satopians in my plug with that of the Azadari(sp?) even though they have no relation to the Azadari at all. Thats often how I'v pictured their ships.
