    • Shade's Shipyard-Up And Running!

Finally,my free ship site is up and running!
My site offers several "sets" of similar ships, single ships, and a custom ship service.
Check it out by clicking (url="http://"http://geocities.com/shades_shipyard")here(/url)
Please take a look at it,and tell me what you think.

    • Nice mechanisto ships...however... you need to fix most/all of the downloading links. You gotta add http:// tags in front of all of the download links or else they ain't gonna work...

      PEACE YO!Β™

    • Kwanza's right. Nice ships, but your links do have some problems.

I was able to mess around cutting and pasting the links to get at most of the sets.

I couldn't access the Phoenix set, however.

Nope. That didn't seem to work either. All the links are set up like this:
      (url="http://"http://geocities.com/shades_shipyard/www.geocities.com/Shades_Shipyard/Phoenix.sit.bin")http://geocities.com...Phoenix.sit.bin(/url)

There seems to be a bit of redundancy.

    • It ought to work now-if not, tell me,and I'll get working on it.

      Better.

But still no luck downloading the Phoenix set.

I keep getting a "Whoops! We can't find your page!" from Yahoo! GeoCities when I click that link.

The others seem to work fine though.

The bad part is that the Phoenix set was the one I really wanted.

    • Mayhap the file is not where it should be?

As for general-public requests, how 'bout a series of five or six general purpose ships (ie Arada clones) with varying degrees of usefulness for different tastes? If that wasn't clear, try this chart:

      • Type I: Med. speed, med. mnvr., low cargo, low free mass, low cost (these are comparative measurements, so adjust them accordingly)

      • Type II: Med. speed, med-low mnvr., med. cargo, low free mass, med-low cost

      • Type III: Low speed, low mnvr., high cargo, med. free mass, med. cost

      • Type IV: Med-high speed, med. mnvr., med. cargo, med. free mass, med-high cost

      • Type V: High speed, med-high mnvr., med. cargo, high free mass, high cost

Try for a (relatively) plain white color scheme so the same designs can be used in Nova.

      "Toadflesh!"

    • Spelling in part of the archive's filename is off a bitΒ— pheonix instead of phoenix (as in the filename of the accompanying graphic, pheonix.gif ). And the suffix is .sit when it should be .sit.bin. So the link, of course, is a road to nowhere. All easily fixed, though.

To download the Phoenix ship set as things stand now, go to the page (url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/Shades_Shipyard/")http://www.geocities...hades_Shipyard/(/url) and try adding Pheonix.sit to the path.

On another note, Shade: I like the ships.

    • OK peoples,it ought to work now, even the Pheonix set.
If not,I'll call up my pet gremlin again and get him working on it.

Oh,yes:'Dias, that's what the custom ships option is for.
You can have them released t the public if you ask me to make them through the formal channels availiable.

Don't bother the gremlin; it's working just fine. πŸ™‚

But what if I want the other members' input on my idea? After all, I had the community in mind when I conceptualized it, not myself.

So, who's with me, and who thinks I'm an idiot for doing the exact opposite of what he asked?

    • Now I'm confused.
      What do you mean,'Ozy?
And do you have any actual schematic ideas?
