I recommend making a plugin that uses the graphics from Nova. Change the damage, speed ect and maybe a little tweeking in a graphics program. My advice is to make KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) plugins- that is what I am going to do. Much less hassle for a better plug.

Several reasons it's a bad idea for me: 1) I'm making a Total Conversion plug-in 2) I want my plug-in to have custom graphics 3)I want it to be original and 4) I've already pretty much planned what I want to do.

This would be nice except for the fact that most people appreciate good and original graphics.
zhouj, I would be glad to help - I'm also currently working on a TC of my own but I'd be happy to do what I can. I can't do graphics, though. I could probably do descs ( :D) and whatever else you need - outfs, etc.
One recommendation - before you start planning out any resources in detail, make an outline. For example, for the gövts, make an outline of what each Class is for. For shďps and oütfs, make an outline about what each Tech level is intended for. It's much easier.

I have more ideas for plug-ins then I have time to do. Once I finish this one, then its off to create another TC with the ships of the world as i imagine it in 20 years. After Nova comes out, I may do a plug-in on a continuation of a storyline.

I don't know - I've heard people complain because in one mission for the Mirans a miran scientist refers to the player as "he", "unnecessairly identifying the player as male". I personally think it would be amusing, but I don't think that some people would appreciate it that much...

It may have been unnessecary but aren't most the people who play EVO males? It's just a game. People will play it for fun. Besides, if I make both sides equal, then why the heck does it matter if I do a plug-in like that. It's not as if i'm discrimanating and doing a storyline only for males. I don't see how people could have anything against that idea. The battle of sexes has existed since the beginning of time and will continue until the end of time.
